Different evolutions of the residual penetration (or remaining depth) with the number of cycles for the series of tests with F _max = 300 N after 4000 cycles: (a) an almost linear increasing response (corresponding to most experimental results); (b) a flat then decreasing response; (c) a constant flat response; (d) an almost linear increasing response with a change of slope after 3000 cycles.
