In MF-PU composites, the relative density of the constituting foam (ρ_r) corresponds to the volume fraction of the metallic phase. Similarly, the porosity of the foam, which is equal to 1-ρ_r, represents the volume fraction of the filler phase when fully occupied by the latter.
